 | Cutting oil | Description: Emulsions made with GRANIT cutting oil 1:20 have low foaming qualities, are odourless and guarantee a precise surface quality. It has a high nitrate capacity. As a coolant it fulfils the requirements of Hazardous Technical Substances Directive (TRGS) 611, 1993. Application range: GRANIT cutting oil 1:20 is suitable for handling of all metals such as steel, cast iron and aluminium alloys, excluding magnesium, zinc and their alloys. The concentration required for simple machining, such as turning turning, drilling and milling is 5 - 12 % (1: 20 to 1:9). In applications where a large cooling capacity is required, (e.g. grinding), a concentration between 1,25 - 2,5 % (1:80 to 1:40) should be used. In preparing the emulsion THE OIL MUST ALWAYS BE ADDED TO THE WATER, not the other way round. Characteristics: Low foaming. Very high protection against corrosion.
